Not including Skill Work, if a push-up is done without achieving full ROM then I don't consider it a proper push-up. It would be like counting a pull-up where the chest didn't touch the bar. When taking PSTs I often will get a small bruise on my sternum where I slam into the fist that is placed beneath it.

btw-did you see how the judges made them do pushups at the CF Games? letting your hands off the deck after each rep? that was cool, I think I'll try that next time.
