07/24 SF CHALLENGE 2

Postby TreyFischer » Sat Jul 24, 2010 6:57 pm

WU: did a few rounds of pullups, pushups, squats
WC: as rx'd with 20 lbs. vest : 24 min (used my analog watch) - hands ripped around the 46th rep pullups
DU: stretched for 15 going to do some foam rolling this evening

Notes: going to to the Challenge of 1,000 pushups either tomorrow or Monday, my chest is pretty sore from the BW bench yesterday. Good week everyone!

Warmup: run 1 mile mod pace

Work Capacity: rx'd w/ vest in 21:10, pushups were brutal after the burpees, but especially after the 55 x 180# bench press from yesterday. Had to wear someone else's vest, which sucked for pullups, dang thing swinging around everywhere :(

En-Durability: 6 x 200m sprints on 2:00 interval. Avg time=32-34"

@Trey-why don't you get a digital watch bro? So much easier...

WU:

2 Rounds for quality:

10 Squats
10 Inverted Burpees (Its a deck squat to a handstand)
10 Strict Pullups

then 5 min squat hip stretch

STR/STA: Bear Complex Max Effort for 1 Round:

95 - 135 - 155 - 165# (i was conservative on this cause I felt shaky)

WC:

21-15-9 for time:

Deadlift @ 185# (next time i'm taking 205#; 185 felt good but needed a little more challenge; 225# would have been too much which is the usual standard weight)
Double Unders 2x

3:13

DUR: Yoga 10 minutes.

Warm up: Did some pushups, pullups, squats, and lunges, along with HMD.

WC: I didn't have a vest with me, so I did w/o. Took around 22 minutes to complete, but I was going by the gym clock so that's not too accurate.

___________

1,000 Pushup challenge: I took a 10-15 minute break after the WC and did the challenge. I just had the feeling in my head that I couldn't leave the gym without completing it. It took me 50:59 to complete. I paced myself quite a bit, doing sets of 10 and 20.

Thanks man, I appreciate it!!

I actually was introduced to SEALfit back last Christmas by my Navy buddy and have been following it pretty closely since then! I just never really hopped onto the forums until now, lol. I'm the same person as Colin M. in the comments section on the blog. I'll probably just change that to Scourge as well so it's not confusing. :D
