So as som of you may or may not know I write for performancemenu from time to time. That being said, Mark and I are wanting to do some SEALFIT specific nutrition articles, or supplement articles for you guys. Give me some ideas!

This is a great idea. I would love to see some articles on nutrition catered to SEAL FIT athletes. I think myself, like most, want to eat enough to fuel work capacity and recovery, but just barely. So I suppose maybe something along those lines would be extremely beneficial.

Agree with Vertigo...it would be great if you could create an outline for the masses to follow that would allow them to lose fat/maintain weight, while still improving strength and conditioning.

I'd like to see something about the effects on the body as it maintains the high levels of output required to complete a SEALFit WOD as opposed to a standard Crossfit. Also, if consuming any combination of calories during work times would be beneficial.

How does feeding during training and feeding during an event shake out in the sealfit philosophy?

clarification:
It's obviously possible to complete say, an ironman on paleo sources. However, performance is better if your sources during the event are GUs, etc. How does this fit in with SEALFit training? In other words, should our diets be periodized in any way to accommodate for any periodization of training? Any info about periodization of nutrition in general to account for changes in season, training, etc. would be awesome. Sort of a fringe topic but very paleo, and operating skinny for awhile isn't a bad idea sometimes IMO.

Thanks MCD,
DN

Great ideas. As for nedly's question. Mark and I were talking about that when we did our podcast together(not sure when that will be available). As for the other ideas by myth and the collective, that is what I will write on then and have it done in a few weeks. During workout water will always be number one. Otherwise for myself and other clients doing sealfit, or military athlete, i like the drink cytomax and add BCAA's and EAA's to the mix. Endurance is the one are where these supps are king. More so than strenght gain etc.. I also like the drink "vendetta" for short days or recovery days where the workload is not as intense.
